As a teen blogger who is always on the go, I'm constantly brainstorming new ways to stay healthy. Whether that means trying a new workout, or adding a new ingredient to my smoothie, I'm all about trying new things.
One thing many teens don't realize is the importance of vitamins. Taking a daily vitamin can potentially help improve your mental clarity, skin, and more. One of my favorite products is Emergen-C. The best thing about Emergen-C is that it's perfect for teens to adults, and you can find it at retailers like Walgreens. With over 20 flavors, you have a generous amount of options to choose from. It is an easy and delicious way to take vitamins that are important to my healthy lifestyle. I personally like the traditional Super Orange flavor, but all of their flavors are good!
It makes me feel good knowing that I have Emergen-C on hand when I feel like I need it. And you can too, whether you decide to make my smoothie below or just want to add your Emergen-C packet to some water!
I decided to put together a quick and easy recipe that you can make before work/school to get many of your daily vitamins in, and sustain you through the afternoon. It'll make you feel refreshed and restored.
The recipe is:
Half of 1 lemon
1 pack of Emergen-C
1/2 cup of blueberries
1/2 cup of raspberries
Few handfuls of kale
A few slices of pineapple
1-2 cups of water
A handful of ice
Mix all ingredients in a high speed blender, starting with the water and ice, and finishing with the lemon juice and grated ginger. Blend and serve!
