Radisson Blu, Istanbul
Turkey is by far one of my favorite cities in the world. People are constantly shocked that I'm there as frequently as I am, which is understandable because it's not the safest city in the world. A month ago, my sister was too afraid to leave her house that she spent a few weeks inside just because of safety issues. Thankfully, the city is back up and running after a tough few weeks, and we're hoping it stays that way.
On Friday, I booked a room at the Radisson Blu Istanbul Airport before my afternoon flight on Saturday. It was tough to book a ticket back from Venice to NYC, so my family just decided to book a roundtrip ticket from Istanbul-NYC. This hotel is located 10 minutes from the airport, assuming the traffic is light. What I enjoyed most was the complimentary shuttle, that brings passengers back and forth from the hotel to the airport, so you don't have to worry about taking a cab each way.
Most airport hotels in America aren't at all nice, but this property had a swimming pool, sauna, full gym, boxing room, and more! We got to eat dinner at their tasty restaurant on Friday, and also had breakfast on Saturday. Both meals were incredibly impressive, and I was super happy to have my last meal in Turkey be a memorable one. The breakfast buffet had an assortment of fresh meats, cheeses, and breads, as well as juices, fruits, and an omelette bar.
If you're heading to Istanbul and in need of an affordable hotel in an ideal location, book a room at the Radisson Blu Istanbul Airport!
