The Time Hotel, NYC
Hotels are life. Life are (is) hotels? Something like that. In my life, hotels basically make or break my mood. If I'm staying at a lovely place, my mood is 100% on point. If my hotel sucks, I'm probably miserable and avoiding being inside as much as I can. When you start to live in hotels, you'll see what I mean!
On my last trip to Manhattan for the Talkspace conference, I had the pleasure of staying at two fantastic properties. One of them was the Time Hotel, located right in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan. Part of the Time Hotels group, this property is a small, but super chic boutique property in NYC. They've also got a Serafina branch, which is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. I only got to stay one night at the hotel, but that was plenty of enough time for me to explore and try out the fantastic restaurant!
The vibe is modern yet intimate, with plush couches and clocks all over. Serafina is located downstairs, and is definitely one of those classic NYC restaurants: dark, classy, and quiet. I ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and surprisingly, had nothing wrong with either meals! That's a first! I highly suggest getting the pesto pasta with gluten-free pasta, as well as the burrata and prosciutto. Mmm, I'm hungry just thinking about that meal...
After dinner, head across the street for a show. My mom came with me on my trip, and was desperate to see a Broadway show. Since The Time is located right across from the Chicago show, I stayed in my room and worked while my mom went across the street (literally) and caught an afternoon show. What's better than that? If you're looking for a hotel that's in the middle of the city, with everything you could possibly need, it's time you hit the Time Hotel.
