Many people take treating themselves as something that should occur very rarely. Whether it's getting your nails done, or your hair colored, or a simple massage, living in America in 2016 isn't always the easiest. I'm someone who was raised to never waste money on things that are considered "fluff", like the activities described above. That's one of the reasons why working in the fashion industry is something I never expected myself to do full-time.

But now that I do work in the industry, I can't exactly go on TV without my nails done and my hair perfectly shaped. People would probably think I was a bit crazy if I put no effort into my career!

There's a few places I'll drop money on my hair. My salon in Connecticut, Headliners, where my stylist, Morgan, revamps my hair every time I'm looking to dye it purple or go crazy. Then there is Bei Capelli in Maine, where Nancy, one of the owners, works some of the best tricks on my hair I've ever seen. They give great manicures in Maine, too.

And then I found Hairo in Boston, my new city. I brought my team in last week to upgrade our hair styles for fall, and the Hairo space is somewhere I'd actually spend a work day or a lunch date.

Their chic salon is simple, and white, which is my favorite color scheme. I adore the stylists, who are always eager to work on your hair. They also offer coffee and water, for those who are spending a few hours (or more) in the chair upgrading their look.

All in all, Hairo is the place to go in Boston for a hair cut, blowout, or a color change. You won't regret it!
