The hats were an interesting and intriguing addition to many of the looks. Some of the hats paired with the outfits made sense, some were a bit confusing, especially for a RTW line.
The mix between an oversized blazer with tailored pants is chic and trendy.
I love the classic white sandals with the sexy black minidress. The fringe is paired to be just enough, and not overdone.
I am a huge fan of Tibi. The show at NYFW every season makes me more and more excited for their upcoming collection. The past 2 seasons I managed to get seated front row, and the excitement of sitting straight under the beaming runway lights, across from editors, fashionistas and bloggers, is thrilling. Designer Amy Smilovic knows how to dress real women. Even though the prices for many of the items can be a bit hefty, having just a few basics from the line in your closet is enough (until you become rich, famous, and able to afford every high fashion line, of course.) Known for the effortless RTW femininity that comes from the line, Tibi managed to make this season all about clean lines and geometric shapes, suitable for all body types and all ages. The past few seasons have been sporty, neoprene separates, and this year was a breath of fresh air from the normal fashions we see strut the runway.
Fringe is slowly making a comeback, as it was added to many of the separates for what seemed to be a "jungle" inspired vibe (or at least that is what I got out of the clothing.) Romantic and breezy pieces were mixed with basic versatile ones, like cropped tops and sheer maxi skirts for an updated and retro finish. What are your thoughts on the interesting hats? Are the cropped tops a little too risqué?
P.S. I started a food/health/fitness blog! I'm so excited to share my recipes, along with diet and fitness tips, straight from a foodie. Check it out here.
