Stopping by Kensie

I arrived back last night from my day trip to NY! Filled with tons of
meetings mostly but a quick sister catch up before my first. Walking
around the West Village reminds me of dream desire to live there when it
comes time to move to the Big Apple, and something about that particular
part of the city shouts quaint and cozy to me, away from the normal
hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps. My meetings were very
successful and a few really exciting things are going to be happening in
the next few months I cannot wait to let you in on! Less than 4 months
and I will be calling the city my home... (for summer at least.)

After my first appointment I headed over to Times Square for a stop
by the Kensie showroom. Ironically, my outfit included a Kensie trench,
so it was necessary that the showroom was one of my stops to preview
the rad jewelry collection the designers are releasing. This line
happens to be one of my favorites because first, it appeals to literally
every teenager for two reasons: affordability and style. Sold at retailers
like Lord & Taylor and Macy's, Kensie has become a recognizable brand
throughout closets and wardrobes across the globe. Known for it's
eclectic and artsy design, the showroom surprised me no less, with
artistic and unusual chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a bright
wall with catch phrases like "express" and "i feel famous" scraped across.
Like a giant graffiti wall you can't miss.

The jewelry was exactly what I expected to see. Expensive and classy
looking pieces that can be worn with anything from graduation dresses
to a day out on the beach in cutoffs and gladiators. Most pieces are
under $50 too. Luckily for me, the owner sent me home with a bag
of goodies that will of course be featured in the future (and a possible
giveaway too!?) Some items being edgier than others (like the sea
blue necklace and the silver and gold triangle necklaces and bracelets)
promoting a skater gal can rock this as well as a preppy plaid one.

What do you think about the line? Would you wear it?
