Lars Andersson// Food porn at Miss Lily's

I had the pleasure of attending the Lars Andersson
show, held at the SoHo Grand. I rushed right from
another show at Lincoln to make this one and it was
definitely worth it. Hosted by my FAVORITE PR company
in the city (you rock Omen!!) the show was a collection
of knits you all know you want to be wearing, models
who didn't fit the tight knitwear because they have no
curves, and mens clothing I would want on my boyfriend
if I had one (lol) any day.

Following the show, I went out with my sister, my
sisters good friend & assistant who I consider my
second sister, for dinner at Miss Lily's in SoHo.
I have an obsession with Jamaican food, so this
took over my craving in minus two seconds. From
the outside, the restaurant is almost kind of
creepy and looks exactly like one you would see
in Jamaica. We walked in and the music was SO
loud and people were running around everywhere,
with waiters saying the wait for the table was
20 min. Ugh. Once we sat, I took a quick look
at the menu and almost fainted. I loved the
retro vibe of the place. A little DJ in the
corner and a very small space, making it
homey and family run obviously. Supposedly
it's a major model hangout as well. In the
end, I feasted on:

JERK GRILLED CORN with toasted coconut
ACKEE DIP AND PLAINTAIN CHIPS
COD FISH FRITTERS curry dipping sauce
(didn't eat these but we did have them on the table!)
CURRY VEGETABLE ROTI
Finished off with mango mousse.
Don't judge a book by it's cover- ever
Visit Miss Lily's and die of Jamaican
fever!!
