I came into the city this weekend for some much needed shopping and sister time! The energy here is amazzzzinnnng! When I first got off the train ride yesterday, I headed to Lord & Taylor for my Karen Kane styling appointment! To be honest, when I first won the Karen Kane gift card and looked online at the stuff, I didn't think any of it was my age group at all but I figured I could at least pick up some necessities. To my surprise, this was one of the best shopping sprees of my life. Two fabulous stylists helped me pick out what they thought would look good on me, which was so helpful. Because fall is approaching so quickly, I wanted to buy for fall and not summer. I left with an AMAZING sparkly pink jacket, a fabulous pair of leggings (that are the comfiest leggings I've ever worn) and a really chic drawstring sweater with sequins on the sleeves. Karen Kane is a truly great line and is extremely versatile between ages. The designs are so intricate and everything is probably so comfy you could wear it to yoga.
I also picked up some other things at Lord & Taylor, including a gorg Free People dress and floral shorts and BCBG sweatpants. I went shopping in SoHo today and picked up some more goodies too!
P.S. I finally got to check out the McQueen exhibit at the MET! It was absolutely stunning. My favorite piece would have to be the black dress with the feathers. I figured it would be something from Black Swan hehe. I don't have any pics from the exhibit because photography wasn't allowed. It's a must see exhibit!
P.P.S. I entered a contest from 365 Hangers and I would loveeee and appreciate if you would like my picture! All you have to do is click here and then click "Like" this picture. Super duper easy!
