One of my favorite parts of Paris was wandering up and down the quaint little streets, stopping in for an Eclair while crossing the bridge to wander up more cobbled lanes. There's two scenes that seriously attract me when it comes to taking quality pictures in day to day life, and that is graphic walls, and cobblestone streets. Manhattan is filled with streets (basically holes) where you can spend a whole day trying not to catch your heel and fall to death on a stone. Paris is quite similar.
If you've never been to a new city or town different from the one you live in, I highly suggest taking a day to wander around with no set schedule. You have the chance to meet and mingle with the locals, indulge in food that is much tastier than any of the overpriced food you'll find at the trendy restaurants, and relax.
