Veronica Beard F/W 14

Chelsea Leyland djing
Hello from Miami! I can’t believe I *almost* gave up the opportunity to come here because I’m missing NYFW- this place is WARM and BEAUTIFUL. Even though I leave Sunday, my time here has been very productive so far!

Before leaving, I had time to attend the Veronica Beard presentation at The Highline Hotel. This is one of my favorite centers during Fashion Week, because a) escaping the madness of Lincoln Center is ideal b) this place is trendy with a gothic and daring edge. Models wore edgy and Grecian inspired clothing on big platforms in the huge room, with lots of bold prints and graphic designs. Veronica always impresses me season after season (this being only my second season of witnessing her collection in person) because she seems to know and understand women and what women want to wear, vs. wish they could wear but aren’t tall enough, hips too big, hips too small, darker skin color etc. RTW has never looked so damn good.

My favorite look was the gold ensemble pictured above. The tailoring on the gold jacket and sequin pants is almost perfect and the sexy sheer shirt underneath is just naughty enough to get away with wearing to work. For those of you in need of a few new pieces to add to your wardrobe, or go all out and buy a full new wardrobe, Veronica is the direction you should head in.

Great pics! I've been watching the CDFA/Fashion Fund competition on Ovation (taped last Fall) where Veronica Beard was a finalist. Learned so much about this line (designed by the 2 Veronicas!) and I love their aesthetic. From everything I've seen about this presentation, they had some incredible looks that are on trend to be huge this fall. I want those shoes & the structured jackets!!
Have a great time in Miami (very jealous!) and rest up before London :))

These photos are amazing! I adore the metallic suit! It's absolute perfection 🙂
I hope you had a wonderful time in Miami! All your instagram photos are making me so jealous! haha I'm basically stuck at home/school trying to not fail biology/math/every-other-subject-that-is-useless, being super-pale.
I hope you have an amazing time in London! I wish I could join you so we could shop on Oxford, drink tea and be super touristy!
