Pleats and Lace

This summer weather is truly the best so far! The sun is out until about 7:30-
8 PM, and making me remember summer nights from last year spent running
around outside and going on late night McDonald’s runs with friends at
midnight when it was still warm out…this summer is bound to be different
but a new experience, and change is good.

After I went through and edited these shots, of course then realized they
were all in front of a cemetery…my bed and breakfast in MA was across
from one, and even though they happen to be creepy and eerie, there is
something kind of beautiful about a cemetery. Don’t get me wrong, no
one wants to offend the dead, but the landscaping around them is always
unique and calm, so having pictures in front of them isn’t the worst thing!
Packing for vacations and especially short ones is SO HARD for a fashionista
just because picking two pairs of shoes over 10 will never be an easy task.
My favorite skirt happens to be this pleated babe my French Connection,
because it is in the “cupcake” style and the color-blocking is so French and
super chic. When I wear it, it’s usually with a black or red top because otherwise
the attention goes to too many other places that isn’t on the skirt, and with
statement beauties like this one that isn’t what I wanted.
