Hair, nails, makeup, beauty…all a girls best friend. When I was asked to
work on a new campaign for Sally Hansen, of course I could never say no.
Their affordable line of high quality items is much more approachable and
interesting than O.P.I. or Sephora, where nail polish can be $10+ without
accessories. I got all of the above for $30 from Walgreens!! Of course, my
balance rewards card was a huge help, and because of the card it is my top
place to buy beauty products from. My inspiration for the nails was Noon
by Noor during NYFW, but because of the lovely weather, my idea was to
get us all inspired for summer with a color called “Sea”. What
describes palm trees and long days at the beach better than that?
The nails at Noon by Noor were incredible because they had a matte
finish and were almost 3D. The design on them is simple but still
mature, and that is what I wanted to recreate, but in a fun and young
way. Having the pen that erases side polish is always a must for a manicurist,
and that decreases time spent trying to chip off the polish that crosses
over to your hand and is always annoying. I am expecting to see a ton
of colors similar to this on the nails at Miami Swim Week in July, and
definitely around this time of year! Watch out US Weekly, Sally Hansen
is coming for you 😉
This is a super easy style where all you have to do is apply a simple base
coat, the blue polish, the quick dry polish, and then the pen to design
with. It took me less than 30 minutes for the whole manicure! Shake
this pen really well (at first, I thought it was broken because nothing
was coming out) and make sure your nails are fully dry before applying.
Then get crazy with anything that takes your fancy! I wanted to try to
make mine similar to the ones above, but with these easy nail pens
anything will look good. In my opinion, there is nothing easier than a
polka dot print, because anyone can pull it off, polka dots never go
out of style, and this Sally Hansen nail pen allows you to get the job
done in under 5 minutes! It’s not Noon by Noor, but my revised version
uses colors that pop out and are beyond affordable!
