I mentioned in my last post how my friend Kelsey and I went to the press preview for Claire’s latest collection last Friday at Soho House. I haven’t shopped at Claire’s in what seems like a decade, so attending the press preview for them was either going to be a hit or miss.
So now you’re wondering: hit, or miss? Hit. Major hit. Brands like Aeropostale and American Eagle are taking the fashion industry by storm, and they aren’t following the traditional route. Instead of paying top celebs like Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez major buck to wear a product, they are utilizing social media and the internet to spread awareness of their brand. Aeropostale took on the Vine stars like Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier, while American Eagle has taken on every top blogger in the industry. Now, it’s Claire’s turn.
We headed to Lafayette for the most delicious almond croissants and coffee before heading to Soho House in Meatpacking. When we walked in, we were greeted with an assortment of accessories as well as the chance to get our hair and nails done. All while snacking on mini macarons and delicate pastries!
Claire’s latest collection is the Katy Perry Prism Collection, which I fell head over heels for, and even wore a pair of bedazzled cat ears the whole time because I just couldn’t not wear them. From floral sunglasses to bohemian fringe bags and colorful necklaces, Claire’s has taken back my 11 year old heart. But this time, I’m 17.
