Karen Kane Summer

Hello everyone! Sorry for such a long posting delay...I have been jam 

packed with midterms finishing up last week and then a short trip to 

NYC. Midterms went surprisingly well which was an unexpected happy

delight to find out :) 

On Friday I stopped by the Karen Kane showroom and the Promotion 

Factory to preview the new collections. Of course, being the true fashionista

that we all are, my attire was not appropriate for the -5 degree weather in 

NYC. Sometimes staying warm can be better than looking your best. 

By the end of the evening I was craving my bed, Gossip Girl, and warm 

apple cider. Mmmm. 

The Karen Kane summer collection is exactly what I expected from the LA

based designer with an effortless and professional vibe. Karen has a newer

line called Karen by Karen Kane, which is more directed towards intimates

and necessities like white shirts and practical items to throw on top of 

anything. The girls at the showroom pulled some of Karen's fav looks 

together for me to shoot, and each and every one of them were super easy

to pull off and flattering on every body type. Every single piece had me
yearning for summer.  

That tie dye dress is by far the most perfect item in the collection! Different 
prints and fabrics are seen throughout, but the majority of items can be worn
 several different ways  which is super practical. The studded white shirt is 
fabulous with jeans and flats, or over the black printed skirt.  Any pieces take 
your fancy?

Back to NYC again on Wednesday for a huge shoot...you will all know
